I just can't get over this incredible, totally backwards, insane story we call a gospel.
Once upon a time, a man married a prostitute because he fell in love. And just as you would expect, it didn't take long for her to cheat on him - but like a total fool he forgave her and took her back again. Again, she slept with another man, and he said "That's alright, I forgive you." After a while, she started paying men to sleep with her, and (this is incredible) he didn't just forgive her, but he paid her lover to get her back. I don't know about you, but I start thinking, "Is this guy just not getting it? What's wrong with him?" And then here's the kicker that knocks you flat:
The Lord said to me, "Go, show your love to your wife again (that's us, guys!), though she is loved by another and is an adulteress (Wow. We're prostitutes).

Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites (here we are again!), though they turn to other gods...

So we're prostitutes - every one of us. We're disgusting, repulsive, and we like it. And God thinks that we are the most beautiful thing that ever happened to the world. He's crazy, He's amazing. He's in love, and so am I.
